Pool Lifeguard Course is approved by Cyprus Human Resource Development Authority (CHRDA / ΑΝΑΔ) for subsidy / grant aid, which is available to companies who meet the criteria for eligibility of such grants. Kalliopi First Aid Training offers assistance in the subsidy application process.
Kalliopi First Aid Trainers / Assessors are certified by Cyprus Human Resource Development Authority (CHRDA / ΑΝΑΔ), to provide First Aid Training Programmes and satisfy the criteria for subsidy / grant aid.
This course can be taught in either Greek or English.
This course is available to the hotel industry, municipalities, water parks, gymnasiums, water sports centres, private or residential complexes with indoor or outdoor pool facilities, public swimming pools, hydro therapy health spas, private or Municipal Lifeguards or individuals who work or aspire to work as a professional public beach or Pool Lifeguard.
To enable participants to become qualified under the legislation laid down by the Cyprus Government with regard to the public swimming pool regulation of 1992 which was published in the government gazette according to Article 52 of the constitution. Participants will train and qualify after assessment in Methods &Techniques on how to prevent persons from drowning and provide basic life support & administer oxygen (O2) for drowning accidents.
The Pool Lifeguard training programme is approved and fully complies with the Cyprus Government Legislation which is in accordance with the latest (2015) European Resuscitation Council (ERC) Guidelines.
21 hours of practical and theoretical Pool Lifeguard training and assessment; Certification as a Pool Lifeguard; Training Materials; Manual & Examination; Assessment; Registration and Wall Certificate.
To train & educate participants in the principles of pool lifeguarding and to acquire practical water rescue training skills for the conscious and unconscious casualty. Students will also be trained in the use of Oxygen for medical emergencies as well as CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) skills on adults, children and infants, in accordance with the latest European Resuscitation Council (ERC) Guidelines.
